My name is Greg Karpoff. I’m a transplant to Baltimore, having grown up in western Pennsylvania.
I find Baltimore visually fascinating. I’d always dwelt in quiet suburbs before moving here, and now town life in a narrow (but long) row home is interesting and mostly outweighs the downsides. There are many things to see and do, all within a convenient distance.
I feel a vibrance and vitality here that I’ve not sensed in other places I’ve lived. Ugliness is present, yes, but so is beauty, in subtle and overt and unexpected ways. This blog is a visual record of some of the places that have caught my eye, and is a tribute to the city and its people.
I recently moved the blog from a PixelPost to WordPress platform. The transition has been a bit of a painful slog, so please bear with me as I continue to smooth out the rough edges.
